JIANG Demeng

JIANG Demeng, PhD student. He received his Master’s degree in 2015 from Southwest Forestry University in Kunming, Yunnan, China (supervised by LUO Xu and JIANG Aiwu), and started his PhD in September 2016. He has broad interests in avian behavioral ecology and biodiversity conservation. The topics he envisions working on during his PhD include the relationships between species in mixed-species bird flocks and how terrestrial vertebrates, specially birds, respond to forest management. His previous work experience mostly concentrated on the breeding strategy of birds in the northern tropical area of China, biodiversity in southwest China, the adaptation of birds to rapid urbanization, and bird species distribution modeling.
