ZHOU Liping

ZHOU Liping is a PhD student of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her PhD work, primarily focuses on birds in tropical and sub-tropical ecosystems, but she has interest in studying animals in a variety of different research contexts such as species diversity, taxonomy, ethology and ecology. As habitat fragmentation increases as a major threat to biodiversity, she has become more interested in how bird communities respond to altitudinal and anthropogenic change. Specifically, she is investigating the interactions between bird species in mixed-species flocks, and how such networks of interaction systematically respond to anthropogenic change.
