Christos MAMMIDES​

Christos MAMMIDES received his PhD degree, in Conservation Biology, from Imperial College London where he used statistical modeling to quantify the impacts of anthropogenic activities on bird communities in protected areas, using data from Kenya and Cyprus. In 2014, he joined Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Yunnan, China, as a postdoctoral researcher, to study how land-use and altitudinal gradients affect the associations of species in mixed-species bird flocks.

JIANG Aiwu

JIANG Aiwu received his PhD degree in Zoology from Lanzhou University, China, and he also has a strong interest in the conservation of endangered bird species, such as Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant (Syrmaticus humiae), which is a new bird species discovered in 2008. His current project aims at exploring how the birds are adapted to the limestone area, a very special ecosystem, in their breeding strategy. He also has a strong interest in the conservation of endangered birds, for example, Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant (Syrmaticus humiae).
