DENG Yiming graduated in 2019 from Henan Agricultural University in China. She began her Master’s degree in our group in September 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Christos Mammides​. Anran DONG

Anran DONG

Anran DONG graduated from Yunnan University with an undergraduate degree on Animal Ecology. Following her studies, Anran completed a one-year internship at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden working on projects related to acoustic ecology. Starting her MSc under the guidance of Professor Eben Goodale in September 2019, Anran is interested in studying animal acoustics. Anran can be reached by email at ar931732679@163.com.

Moses ELLEASON

Moses ELLEASON

Moses ELLEASON completed his undergraduate studies in Natural Resources Management at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, majoring in Wildlife and Range Management. Starting his MSc under the guidance of Associate Prof. Christos Mammides in September 2019, he is interested in ecotoxicology, and doing further studies that investigate the impact of land use change and other anthropogenic activities on biodiversity. DAI Wenzhang

DAI Wenzhang

DAI Wenzhang graduated from Guizhou Normal University, majoring in landscape architecture. His  hometown is in Shanxi Province in northern China. In September 2018, he joined the Masters Program at Guangxi University, in a joint program of ecology and landscape architecture. LAO Xiangyue

LAO Xiangyue

LAO Xiangyue, originally from the beautiful city of Haikou, Hainan, majored in Landscape Architecture for her undergraduate degree and graduated from Guilin University of Technology in 2018. Interested in landscape architecture, she started her Master's degree in September 2018, in a joint Landscape Architecture/Ecology program, and under the guidance of Associate Prof. JIANG Aiwu. TAN Xiaocai

TAN Xiaocai began studies for a Master's degree at the Forestry College of Guangxi University in September 2018. In 2017, she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Hechi College under the guidance of Associate Professor Xichao DENG. She was awarded the title of excellent graduate. Supun Sewwandika GALAPPATHTHI

Supun Sewwandika GALAPPATHTHI

Supun Sewwandika GALAPPATHTHI joined our group as a Masters student in September 2018. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, specializing in biology. She has gained field experience in behavioral and community ecology during her undergraduate studies and career as a teaching and research assistant. She is particularly interested in bird vocalizations, social behavior and community structure, and urban ecology.

LI Cheng

LI Cheng

LI Cheng started his Master’s degree in September 2018, supervised by Prof. Eben Goodale. He received his Bachelor’s degree in July 2018 from the College of Agriculture of Guangxi University. Given his background in agriculture, he hopes to do a Masters thesis project related to the lab’s surveys of biological diversity in agricultural landscapes near Nanning. GUAN Zhuoli

GUAN Zhuoli

GUAN Zhuoli received his Bachelor’s degree in 2017 from Chongqing Normal University, Faculty of Geography and Tourism, and started his Master’s degree in our group in September 2018 under the supervision of Associate Prof. Christos Mammides. He is interested in remote sensing techniques and biodiversity conservation. In his previous work, he explored the interaction between biodiversity and human activities using statistical and spatial tools.

CHEN Youfang

CHEN Youfang

CHEN Youfang graduated in 2015 from Harbin Normal University in China, and has a background in computer programming. She began her Master’s degree in our group in September 2018 under the guidance of Dr. Eben Goodale.  In her Masters thesis project she hopes to use audio recordings made by autonomous recording machines to measure animal diversity, and thus be able to understand the relationship between animal diversity and vegetation.
