This new version of the bibliography has been expanded to include most vertebrate taxa in which mixed-species groups (MSGs) are found.  There are now separate pages for terrestrial birds, waterbirds, mammals and fish, mixed-taxa groups, and theoretical papers that apply to more than one taxa. Note that we define MSGs as moving groups of more than one species, in which the species are not simply inside or on each other, and which persist due to interspecific attraction. In contrast, mixed-species aggregations or colonies are stationary associations that, in addition to interspecific attraction, are also influenced by resources or predator-free space, respectively.

As ornithologists, and ones who concentrate on terrestrial species, we are not so knowledgeable about many of the taxa here. We hope that if you know of other articles that are relevant that you will please write us. Further, if you are willing to improve the database (e.g. add information about specific habitats or systematics of species), we would be glad to work with you. Finally, we have many of the electronic copies of the articles, so write us if you are looking for an article in particular.
